“I hope the war will end soon and I will be back to my school,” says Larisa from Artsakh, a 5th-grade student at Stepanakert School No. 9 named after H. Tumanyan.
Larisa is now in Yerevan: “I love Kangaroo and I always try to participate in it to develop my logical thinking. I tried to test my knowledge this time as well and participated in the first online Kangaroo. Even if I don’t take any place, I am still happy to have taken part in the contest as I can learn from my mistakes and improve my knowledge.”
Larisa has many dreams about her future. She wants to become a doctor, because “doctors do good to mankind. Besides, I will make sure that I help the soldiers with my work. I have brought several books with me and am studying at home. Regardless of anything happening around, we should continue to work and improve our knowledge,” says our little heroine.
Larisa also dreams of establishing her own chess school. She took the first place in the girls’ group under age 10 at the All-Republican Chess Tournament held in Stepanakert. She is now playing chess online not to fall behind in anything.
