Ayb High School’s academic achievements |
| |
The 2012-2013 academic year is approaching to an end. Summarizing the second year of the Ayb High School’s activities, we are pleased to state that our students have made significant achievements in various educational contests. In 2013 national subject Olympiads, 38 participants of our school (26% of the total number of the students) continued competing in the finals in 12 of the 16 main subject Olympiads.
The Ayb Olympic team had 27 prize-winners in the final phase which makes 20% of the school students and more than 70% of our participants. They won 16 diplomas (about 11% of the school students and 40% of our participants) and 11 certificates of excellence (about 7% of the school students and 30% of our participants).
Diplomas were distributed as follows: • I class: 4 students in subject Olympiads of mathematics, English language, Russian language and French language. • II class: 7 students in subject Olympiads of mathematics (2 students), chemistry (she came first in her age group), biology (2 students), English language and German language. • III class: 5 students in subject Olympiads of informatics, Armenian language, Russian language (2 students) and German language.
One of our students has successfully passed the qualifying phase of the international mathematics Olympiad and joined the national team of Armenia.
It is also worth mentioning that our students demonstrated high results in a wide range of subject Olympiads: exact sciences, natural sciences, Armenian studies and foreign languages (including Russian, French, English and German).
Compared to the total number of its students, the Ayb High School has recorded an unprecedented result in this year’s subject Olympiads throughout the country.
Also, our students had successful participation in the “High standard” international school Olympiad of the National Research University of the Russian Higher School of Economics, with 13,000 students participating in it. Four of the Ayb School students won two II class and two III class diplomas (total four) in mathematics and IT.
We would also like to recall the success of the Ayb High School’s robotics team at the Fire Fighting Home Robot contest held in Trinity College, Hartford, CT, USA, where our team won a special prize for the best theoretical solution.
